CRACK REPAIR

Cracks are most common problem with hard courts. Cracks are caused by the natural aging process of asphalt. As asphalt ages it looses flexibility and becomes brittle. Every court will develop cracks at some point, if a crack develops it is better to treat it early before it causes further damage to the court. There are different types of cracks, some can be treated with acrylic patching materials while others may need a membrane repair or an asphalt overlay.
We recommend repairing cracks with the "Riteway crack repair system", this is a 3 layer fabric system that bridges over the crack and allows the crack to move beneath the fabric membrane. Although this repair will look great and last for years, it will not solve all court cracking issues and new cracks may form.
On heavily damaged courts, the best solution would be to completely rebuild it or install a new asphalt or concrete overlay.
